CBGA / CBDA Water Soluble Powder
Stirling’s 1st to Market CBGA/CBDA Water Soluble Full Spectrum Powder is the perfect solution for you.
Stirling’s Solventless, Water Extracted, Water Soluble CBGA/CBDA Powder has the most potent lineup of Cannabinoids on the market. This water-soluble formula has approximately 10% total cannabinoids by weight. Stirling uses only the freshest, most potent hemp plant and through our unique process cleanly extracts the cannabinoids from it.
After extraction, we make the kief into a super fine powder and then coat the powder with tapioca maltodextrin. This starch binds to the cannabinoids and allows the solution to be easily dissolved in water and therefore easily absorbed by water.
CBGA and CBDA are two of the 115+ cannabinoid compounds found in the Hemp plant. They are not as well-known as CBD, or its even more famous cousin, THC. An important difference is CBGA, CBDA vs. CBG and CBD is, of course, the “A” in CBGA, and CBDA which stands for acid. CBDA and CBGA are precursors to CBG and CBD, meaning you cant get CBG and CBD if you don’t have CBGA and CBDA. In fact, CBGA is the precursor to all cannabinoids in the hemp plant and is sometimes referred to as the Mother of all Cannabinoids.
What is CBGA?
CBGA is the acidic form of cannabigerol (CBG). To be specific, CBGA is a dihydroxybenzoic acid and olivetolic acid in which the hydrogen at position 3 is substituted by a geranyl group. It is a biosynthetic precursor and all other Cannabinoids including Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the principal psychoactive constituent of the Cannabis plant. It is also a diterpenoid, a polyketide, a member of resorcinols, and a phytocannabinoid. It derives from an olivetolic acid.
What is CBDA?
According to the National Institute of Health Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) is the main phytocannabinoid in fiber and seed-oil hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) plants, but its potential health-related capabilities have been masked for years by a greater scientific interest in its neutral derivative cannabidiol (CBD). These secondary metabolites phytochemically praise the uniqueness of Cannabis species, but also, in a puzzling scenario, dictated the denial of the plant used for almost 40 years of our history. The psychoactive/psychotropic Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC or simply THC) was widely condemned as the guilty substance; nowadays, it is recognized as CB1 and CB2 partial agonist, whereas another abundant cannabinoid, namely cannabidiol (CBD), is identified as an “entourage compound”, able to modulate THC effects
What are the benefits of CBGA and CBDA together?
Recent Studies from Oregon State University have been picked up by media outlets such as Forbes, Wall Street Journal, Fox, and other national media companies. Of course, Stirling can not make any medical claims, but a simple Google search of these terms will take you to some exciting news – the most important news since the Pandemic started in 2020.
Is CBDA Better than CBD?
If your definition of better means more potent, then yes, CBDA could be superior to CBD. CBDA has acted more potently than CBD as well as THCA in a number of scientific studies on animals. Being more potent does not always mean better, as CBD and CBDA are both important components of a full-spectrum raw extract.
The challenge of CBDA is that since decarboxylation occurs even at room temperature and CBDA converts to CBD it is far more difficult to isolate the CBDA compound for use clinically – but Stirling has developed a process that maximizes CBDA in the final product. This requires very special, and expensive, storage equipment to keep CBDA as stable as possible until it is ready for use. CBD is also much easier to extract. There is a ton of CBD found in hemp plants and easily extracted for use in drops, gummies, gels, and lotions.
CBGA – CBDA Study which recently came out – Stirling’s Take
- Minor Cannabinoids will gain more traction – CBD, THC, and now CBGA and CBDA are the most known cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. Still, there is a lot of research on other cannabinoids which will completely revolutionize the traditional “CBD” market. CBC and CBG are two cannabinoids getting a lot of research dollars, and Stirling expects more positive news about the health benefits of these and other cannabinoids.
- There will be a race to produce potent CBGA/CBDA compounds – Stirling was unable to find a specific CBGA/CBDA product in the market after a detailed review of the major CBD companies conducted on 1/13/22. When available, if you consider incorporating CBGA/CBDA into your practice, the most important consideration is ensuring that the company you are buying from is reputable and provides 3rd party testing with all its products. Stirling CBD predicts that products could be on the market by as soon as a couple of weeks.
What is the % of Total Cannabinoids by Weight?
Between 9.5% and 10.5%, depending on the flower used. The exact % in each batch can be found by reviewing the COA’s.
Is there any THC in the CBGA/CBDA Powder?
There is some THC in the CBGA/CBDA powder, however as the COAs prove, Stirling’s CBDA powder contains less than the .3% THC as mandated by federal law.
